Voting It means deciding the future of the country where we live. Don’t let others decide it, he stressed.
On Monday, the artist Benito Antonio Martinez, known internationally as Bad Bunny, called on his fellow citizens to go out and vote on November 5th to create the largest protest against the politicians who have led Puerto Rico to disaster.

“Yes, it’s good to denounce things on social media. It’s good to take to the streets to protest and make our voices heard as a people. But I believe the biggest protest is to go out and vote on November 5th against the people who have led us to this mess and chaos,” he said during the podcast ‘Tony Asks.’
Bad Bunny urged all young people over 18 years old to go to the State Elections Commission or any office of the Permanent Registration Board and register to vote in the upcoming general elections.
In the interview, he talked about the economic and political situation in Puerto Rico, topics related to music, and the island’s electricity problem under the private company LUMA Energy.
“I never wanted to talk about politics because it’s crap. I didn’t want to get involved. I’m speaking like any other Puerto Rican who wants to express himself about the situation in the country where he lives,” he stated.
Bad Bunny was one of the dozens of artists who participated in the Summer 2019 protests, when thousands of Puerto Ricans pressured and caused the resignation of Governor Ricardo Rossello, after a chat between members of his cabinet was published, creating a crisis.
“I’m still me. I’m not getting into politics. Politics gets into my life because politics affects my country, Puerto Rico. I know politics is crap. Nobody believes in the country’s politicians. Going out to vote is very important, especially when you’re young. It means deciding the future of the country where we live and grew up. Don’t let others decide it,” Bad Bunny stressed.
