French police are searching for the criminal behind the Lyon central city bombing which injured 13 people Friday, officials confirmed.

The suspect was captured on security video leaving a bag in front of a bakery shortly before an explosion occurred at around 5:30 pm, police sources and local mayor Denis Broliquier said.
Police sources described the suspected attacker as a European or North African male, seen pushing a bike and wearing beige Bermuda shorts, an army-green scarf or head wrap and dark glasses.
Soon after he left, the blast rained metal bolts on passersby in front of the premises on rue Victor Hugo, several blocks from the city’s main station, according to police.
Many of those injured were hospitalized for treatment, some suffering from injuries inflicted by shattered metal and glass. President Emmanuel Macron denounced the “attack” and offered his support for victims during a televised YouTube interview, saying, “My thoughts are with the injured.”
On his official Twitter account, Macron wrote: "Tonight I think of the wounded in the explosion in Lyon, their families affected by the violence that has befallen their loved ones in the street, and all of Lyon. We are by your side."
Interior Minister Christophe Castaner said police forces across France have been instructed to increase security in public places and event venues.
