Popular comedian Volodymyr Zelensky who has no formal political experience has won the most votes in the first round of Ukraine's presidential elections on Sunday. 
 

On March 31, Ukrainians will go the polls to elect their president for the next five years. The comedian Volodymyr Zelenskiy, with no prior political experience, is the strongest candidate.

Initially, 44 candidates registered to compete in the election.
